I hope all of you had a memorable holiday season and wish you a happy and healthy New Year. The council had several successful activities over the season. Breakfast with Santa was held the 1st two Sundays in December. Thanks to Santa and all the elves all the children were able to let Santa know what they wanted for Christmas. The Christmas Party was held on the 10th of December and was enjoyed by all. It was a chance to share in the spirit of the holiday season with friends and family.

As we settle into the New Year, we need to be reminded of the status of  St. Nicks. We are still in trouble. Many tough decisions need to be made which might result in the selling of the building and becoming a church council at St. Renee. I know none of us want this to happen, so I need ideas from the members on how we can save it. We no longer host Poker at Sunnybrook due to the competition of other charity pokers in the area. We need to find another source of income to pay our bills.

Activities in January are few due mainly to weather and post holiday blues.

Social night on Friday continues with Canasta. Come down and enjoy a game.
